About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Aviation Line Service Technician for our new state-of- the art hangar located in Burlington, North Carolina.

At Labcorp you will be viewed as an essential part of a dynamic and growing Aviation maintenance team responsible for marshaling, tugging, towing, fueling and servicing our company aircraft fleet.

Your role reports to the Director of Aviation Maintenance and will require the ability to work accurately under pressure, often following strict safety regulations and performing tasks on and around complex aircraft that are operating on a time critical schedule.

What to Expect

Working Conditions:

  • This position is based at the Burlington Alamance Regional Airport – KBUY
  • You will be required to live within a 1-hour drive from the KBUY airport
  • You will be part of a Diverse and Inclusive team of aviation professionals.
  • You will be working out of a Beautiful New state of the art Aviation Hangar.
  • You will be working with well-equipped aircraft that are professionally maintained to the highest standards.
  • You may be required to travel as assigned to assist with maintenance events and training that could last several days. (rare occurrence)
  • You will be required to lift tools, equipment, passenger baggage or cargo as necessary (ability to lift up to 50lbs.)
  • You will be required to wear a uniform when interacting with passenger flights.
  • You will be called on from time to time to help with projects, i.e.: manuals, SOP’s, safety reports, maintenance meetings, company meetings, etc. 
  • Hangar environment is an industrial repair shop with exposure to occasional high decibel noise, hazardous chemicals (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, etc.), industrial machinery, mechanical lifts, and operating aircraft.
  • Monday through Friday
  • First Shift hours: 730a to 430p
  • Flexible schedule: overtime may be requested

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Conduct aircraft servicing on company owned aircraft.
  • Need to comply with applicable regulations, including but not limited to the FAA, OSHA, and EHS as mandated by the Labcorp Aviation Gener Operating Manual (GOM).
  • Cary out assigned work in an expeditious manner, exercising sound judgement in executing each work project
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal to intermediate supervision.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors on aircraft servicing issues affecting the flight schedule.
  • Collaborating with Flight Operations to ensure a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Complete all training as required by Labcorp, adhere to and follow all company police, actively participates in and contributes to the Labcorp Aviation Safety Management Program (SMS)
  • Perform various work duties, such as Hangar/facilities/Aircraft cleaning
  • Perform basic and preventative maintenance of GSE equipment and machines.
  • Perform post inspections of aircraft (as authorized by the Director of Maintenance), cleans, services and reports issues to Supervisor.
  • Assists pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians and team members as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Transporting of pilots, parts or supplies may be required using company vehicles.
  • Perform basic duties of aircraft marshaling, aircraft fueling, servicing engine oil, servicing aircraft oxygen system (as authorized by the Director of Maintenance),
  • Perform other duties assigned by your supervisor.
  • You will receive and launch corporate aircraft flights when needed.
  • You will provide support to Ground Operations as needed for both specimen / cargo and Executive Passenger flights

Minimum Education and Experience, Required

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Requires a minimum of 6 months of relevant aviation experience to include any or all of the following: aircraft fueling, aircraft towing and aircraft parking, aircraft maintenance.
