The biggest and the latest challenge to Sony’s image sensor business is to provide solutions to emerging new mobility areas represented by advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving systems based on long years of technology development for image sensors.
Sony Electronics in the Novi, Michigan location is seeking to welcome the best and the brightest into our world-class marketing and engineering team.
In your new role you will:
- Possess key intangible communication and dynamic relationship building skills
- Clearly translate the voice of the customer for Automotive OEMs + Tier1s to an internal audience as well as on behalf of Sony towards those same customers.
- Solid Commercial Problem-Solving methodology with presentation and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge & background in working with semiconductors components and electronic systems with a diverse background in automotive electronics and strong aptitude to learn in a fast pace changing high tech environment
- Understand and communicate current and future architectures for market applications
- Strong account management skills and well organized.
- Grow Customer Executive Relationships
- Good overall leadership skills in working with global technical teams internally and externally.
- Coordination with internal teams such as global sales, marketing, design, and support engineering both locally and with our HQ teams in Japan for customer issue resolution, project status updates, product requirements, project planning, etc.
- Experience working with or for Japanese Automotive is a bonus
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, BS in EE / ECE/ CE is preferred but not mandatory
- 5+ years of experience in automotive industry, preferably in the automotive markets
- Located in the Detroit Michigan Metro Area
- Able to travel locally to work with customers onsite
- Able to work in the office in Novi, Michigan and remotely from home
- Schedule flexibility to interface EU and Asian time zones
- Global travel required
Sales
- Maintain customer relationships at various customer levels.
- Work with applications engineering to ensure all customer needs are satisfied.
- Report, Initiate and identify all key opportunities.
- Collect customer requirements and develop technical configuration and articulate the details
- Support RFI/RFQs in coordination with NA sales leadership and HQ
- Generate quotes for customer needs for technical analysis
- Manage customer forecast and coordinate with internal sales team
- Provide strong & unique business development skills to local and global team
- Support Tech Shows & manage customer engagement
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $117,000 to $154,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of
