The Automation Specialist is a technical role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and business processes across the organization.
The Automation Specialist partners with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of all processes.
Responsibilities and Standards:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Build and support automation using tools such as RPA platforms, SQL, and scripting languages.
- Support the analysis and optimization of business operations by identifying and implementing automation solutions.
- Support the development & maintenance of the SmartComm Templating System.
- Document automation workflows, technical designs, and standard operating procedures across the organization.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within automated solutions.
- Evaluate emerging agentic AI tools and lead the exploration, testing, and potential implementation of use cases supporting strategic and operational goals.
- Provide technical support and training to end users as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Education/Certification/Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA, PowerShell).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
- Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking
- Extended periods of computer use
- Pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds
- Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III - Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary [This position is an S03 exempt position with a min-max rate of: $75,250- $87,138.92 /annually] with:
