Overview
Edgewater is searching for an Intermediate Subject Matter Expert to work closely with Technical Leads, Developers, and Business Users to support key business applications. The position is responsible for testing and supporting business applications to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and user experience. This role designs, develops, and executes automated test scripts using Selenium to validate application features across multiple browsers and platforms. The analyst collaborates with development teams using GitLab for version control, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
The work will be performed onsite in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, performing regression testing, and providing production support to resolve application issues.
- The ideal candidate combines strong technical testing skills with business acumen to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet organizational requirements.
Qualifications
- All candidates must be US Citizens
- At least four years of experience in the specified technical field, or two years of recent, demonstrated experience with specified emerging technology and two years of experience in a closely related field.
- Requires five years of analytical experience.
- BS/BA in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or relevant field, or equivalent experience required.
- Experience with Selenium, Azure DevOps Test Cases, and GitLab
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test strategies
- Experience with test management tools
- Proficiency in bug tracking and defect management systems (e.g., Jira)
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium)
- Understanding of SQL for database testing
- Experience with performance testing tools
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
- Experience with version control systems
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
- Knowledge of test design techniques (e.g., boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning)
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for web application testing
