Position Summary:

The Audit Services Office (ASO) provides world class services to its customers and stakeholders within the Federal Reserve System (System). This is a customer centric System facing role supporting various initiatives enabling the System Audit Community to work more effectively and efficiently. The role focuses but is not limited to the Internal Audit Professional Practices ASO Product (Product). This Product directly impacts all 300+ auditors across the districts.

 

The ASO Audit Practices Analyst role provides broad and direct exposure to various project / workgroup executive sponsors, leaders, and contributors to drive coordinated, cohesive accomplishment of efforts in support of audit related activities that comply with Internal Audit Standards (Standards). The role will be an enabler to maintaining quality assurance and continuous process improvements that impact internal audit activities, deliverables and internal audit technologies. As needed this role operates as a consultant to auditors across the system on topics related to Internal Audit Standards, professional practices best practices, system audit planning, and other.   

We are a dynamic hybrid workplace environment that requires at least 2 days a week in the office. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the ASO department through contributions on delivering initiatives supporting the vision, mission and strategic direction of the organization and the broader System Audit Community.

• Operate in a matrix operational organizational structure while maintaining effective verbal and written communications, prioritizing tasks, influencing decisions, meeting deadlines and employing self-accountability practices to deliver on desired outcomes.

• Collaborate with cross functional team members to enable delivery of audit activities via special projects, various workgroups and audit competency centers.

• Identify improvement opportunities throughout all aspects of the role including but not limited to peer reviews, COGA periodic reporting process and deliverables, System Audit Plan process and deliverable, the Quality Assurance Knowledge Forum and Audit Automation User Group, ASO operational activities, other System Audit Community initiative / efforts.

• Facilitate the cross-District internal audit quality assessment peer review processes for multiple peer reviews across the System with various peer review teams comprised of auditors and audit management across the System. Coordinate with the Board of Governors and external validators to ensure conformance with Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards.

• Contribute to the successful delivery of the Conference of General Auditor’s (COGA) periodic reports summarizing COGA’s view on current and emerging risk and ongoing efforts to address those risks. The role will assist in regularly identifying and implementing enhancements to the COGA reporting process.

• Participate as an ASO member on the System Audit Planning workgroup delivering the System audit plan comprised of multi-District audit activities addressing the Federal Reserve’s top risks.

• Enable the delivery of special projects and strategic initiatives as requested by the ASO leadership team. The capacity of the role’s involvement will differ depending on the type of special project / request and ASO’s unique position to deliver or enable value to the effort.

• Support the Quality Assurance Knowledge Forum (QAKF) by contributing to the development of a value proposition, socialization of activities, recruiting members, keeping ASO and other leadership members aware of progress and QAKF contributions to the System Audit Community.

• Support the Audit Automation User Group through the attendance of reoccurring calls, providing the ASO perspective as part of directional / operational discussions, maintaining current communications with group leads and knowledge sharing with the ASO department.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required
