We are looking for an accomplished and self-motivated professional with experience in writing efficient code that maximizes the performance of the hardware resources in an embedded system.  Our ideal candidate possesses extended knowledge in complex real-time software systems and excels in both technical leadership as well as project management skills. Successful candidates have the ability to adapt quickly and contribute major function blocks in a fast-paced environment.

You Will:

• You will be leading software engineering teams towards building information and entertainment systems for a best-in-class cabin experience. You will be focusing on Android media application frameworks supporting a variety of applications requirements with a priority on optimizing systems performance and stability.
• Lead a talented team of Android framework software developers within the infotainment software organization.
• Ensure teams deliver high quality production code that is well architected, fast, safe, and reliable.
• Work with other engineering leads to provide accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Work with your team, technical program managers and external stakeholders to plan, prioritize and execute against a defined engineering roadmap.

You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering.
• Experience guiding the software development team, implementing process, setting, and achieving goals.
• Experience with Android SDK and/or NDK
• Experience with the Android application framework architecture.
• Proficiency in one or two Android application framework domains.
• Experience in designing, coding, and debugging Android application frameworks, automotive infotainment systems as a hands-on leader.
• Ability to communicate effectively with contributors and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Consistent record of developing high quality products with an eye for simplifying unnecessary complexity.

Education

• BS or MS in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Advantageous: 

• Experience in automotive software development, knowledge of Wi-Fi and BT protocol security, TLS, Open SSL.
• Experience working with OEM partners.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.   Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)Base Pay Range (Annual)$188,100—$255,880 USD
