Overview

To support the hospital in its' research mission through data collection and project organizations 

 

As the primary research assistant responsible for data collection, the individual will be responsible for coordinating with others collecting data (i.e. residents, medical students) to ensure that there is no duplication of effort and to insure integrity of the data collection process. The individual will also have responsibility to update the necessary IRB forms and submit addendums as necessary for the research project.

Responsibilities

 -Data collection via chart review and in person study visits

- Provide assistance to research nurse coordinator during study visits including conducting surveys, administering questionnaires, and processing blood samples

- Tracking research activities in accordance with data integrity principles

- Provide technical assistance to research projects

- Data organization, summarization, and analysis

- Ongoing professional development to support the division research mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel preferred, experience with previous data collection through an EMR preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $18.02/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
