At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on an Associate Windows Field Technician to provide technical support services for the various C4S capabilities onboard Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships in Chesapeake, VA.

HOW OUR ASSOCIATE WINDOWS FIELD TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity.

• Assists in the development of project plans.

• Coordinates with the contractor's C4S lead, and Government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

• Travels locally and CONUS/OCONUS to perform break/fix and upgrades.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

• Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance

• Required Experience: 1+ years of experience administering Windows systems, hardware and software networks as described above

• Required Certifications: IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A+ CE and associated OS certification)

• Education: High School diploma

• Required Technical Skills: Experience with Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), Host Based Security System (HBSS), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)

• Travel Requirement: 50%

• Location: Onsite in Chesapeake, VA

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $21.97 - $29.04. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
