PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP is looking for an entry-level Associate to join the Transaction Advisory Services team. The Associate will work closely with our managers and partners in providing financial and operational analysis in connection with buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements.
During the first three years, the Associate will also have an opportunity to accumulate audit hours to obtain a CPA license as the Associate will work in our Audit practice during busy season (January to April) and spend the remaining time in Transaction Advisory Services. After the 3rd busy season, the Associate will be dedicated to TAS full-time. While working in Transaction Advisory Services, the Associate will be trained to use technology and analytical and investigative techniques to advise and provide service delivery to clients. Time spent in our Audit practice is valuable to the Associate in developing the skills necessary to be a successful advisor in our Transaction Advisory Services group.
Essential Duties
- Work on buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers.
- Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings for a variety of industries, including technology, life sciences, healthcare, consumer products, business services, industrial products, and media/entertainment.
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field from an accredited college or university required.
- Have a sound grasp of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level.
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements, provide services and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and research capabilities.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and recommendations in client related matters pertaining to the engagement.
- Have an eye for detail and be able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables.
- Must be willing to travel locally and nationally when required and have access to a car/public transportation.
- Progress towards obtaining CPA certification, including required 150-credit coursework would be a plus, but not required.
