We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development of our AI/ML Platform that enables BlackRock to leverage cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. As a Technical Product Manager, you will work closely with engineers, data scientists, researchers, and business partners to define and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI Platform. You will also collaborate with other product teams across BlackRock to understand their AI needs and ensure the platform meets their requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Define and execute the product roadmap for the ML core infrastructure, ensuring alignment with BlackRock's strategic goals and client needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including across Platform Engineering, AI Engineering, Aladdin Teams, investors, and researchers to develop and integrate AI capabilities into the BlackRock platform.

• Own AI Research environment to help data scientists and model engineers to train new ML models, fine-tune LLMs, and build custom models for research within BlackRock’s walled garden.

• Own the process for the deployment of ML models and LLMs into production within BlackRock’s walled garden.

• Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation and development to deployment and support of ML models across our clients, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across the Aladdin ecosystem.

• Engage with our users and stakeholders to gather feedback and identify opportunities for product enhancements and new AI-driven features.

• Stay abreast of the latest AI trends and technologies to drive innovation and maintain BlackRock's competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years proven experience in product management, preferably in the financial technology sector.

• Strong technical understanding of platform development and deployment at scale at large enterprises.

• Strong technical background with an understanding of AI and ML technologies and their application in financial services.

• Experience with cloud-enabled AI platforms such as Azure Machine Learning, Google Vertex AI, or Amazon Bedrock.

• Experience with shipping GenAI products to production.

• Knowledge of foundational GenAI concepts such as prompt engineering, popular LLMs, model quality & governance, finetuning, and RAG.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable product plans.

• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional value to clients.

• Experience working with teams in a scaled agile development environment.

 

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $132,500 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
