Position Summary:

The Senior Program Associate consults with Newbuild leaders and the Director of Business Excellence to lead, and drive process initiatives that enable the efficiency of New Build Processes in various departments. Projects assigned are typically idealized by the Newbuild Leadership and seen as top priority, high profile, and multi-departmental initiatives for the organization and thus require continuous communication and interaction in a fast-paced environment with a high level of confidentiality.  This is a highly visible position critical to the Newbuild Department. This role requires a combination of organizational skills as well as a willingness to play an active behind the scenes role.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • He/She will lead some elements of planning, tracking, and status reporting of leadership initiatives across Newbuild
  • Partners closely with Newbuild leadership and all Newbuild Global to drive standardized processes
  • Consults with senior executive office administration, design, brand, and Mission Control teams to ensure executive direction and feedback are effectively implemented
  • Partners with key advisors identifying creative solutions for driving efficiencies, optimizing our organizational structure, and leading long term plans and way forward. 
  • Interfaces with Newbuild Miami, RCCL European site offices and shipyard teams to ensure alignment on NB processes, leadership calendar, and overall organization. 
  • Utilizes process management tools and techniques to develop and maintain scope. 
  • Ensures the effective administration of Executive level meetings both at a project and leadership level (attendees, agenda, and official minutes) and drafts reporting of status for executive review. 
  • Plans, coordinates and structures process management workshops, ensuring clear objectives are established, executive involvement is secured, and agreed-upon deliverables are met.  
  • Consults with directors and above to ascertain decision making needs and how they impact our ways of working 
  • Conducts analysis & recommends solutions, based on gathered insight, to continuously improve methods and procedures in ways-of-working and utilizing best practices. 
  • Leads process improvement initiatives on an as needed basis as they relate to overall leadership processes.
  • Functions as a liaison between the Director of Business Excellence and senior leaders, as well as Mission Control and senior leaders as well

 

Qualifications:

  • This role provides privileged access to highly sensitive information. The candidate will be discrete, high-energy, agile minded, proactive and a direct communicator. Highly organized and able to drive initiatives independently while seeking the relevant input and direction where needed
  • B.S. degree with a concentration in Business Administration, or a closely related discipline (Management Science, Industrial Engineering).
