Associate Specialist - Sick Absence Coordinator

- Cultivate relationships with customers on an ongoing basis to have an active role in alignment with operating areas. Take initiative to integrate with customers by attending departmental meetings and interactive communications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employees sick absences, including dates, duration, and any relevant notes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Organize and manage confidential employee health records, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible for authorized personnel while adhering to privacy regulations like HIPAA or GDPR.
- Respond to incoming calls and emails from employees, managers, or external parties related to sick leave, providing accurate information and guidance regarding company policies and procedures.
- Support employees experiencing health issues by explaining their sick leave entitlements, potential accommodations, and the steps they need to take when reporting an illness or returning to work.
- Provide support with customer escalations and related service requests.
- Work closely with various organizations to discuss accurate codes and time reporting.
- Provide support for all lines of communication utilized by Sick Absence Management.
- Adhere to the established curriculum to support continuous development of knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to deliver outstanding service and serve as a strategic partner to client organizations.
- Provide general HR and EWC support as needed while performing other related tasks, projects, and assignments as required.
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years Relevant work experience
- A minimum of two years work experience in a Customer Service-related capacity, required.
- Ability to become proficient in Cority, The Care Management System, and HCM, required.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a discrete and professional manner, required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, required.
- Proficiency in personal computing applications Microsoft Office, required.
- Professional Experience in Health Care, preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Driver's License Required
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
