About the role

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have had some exposure with Snowflake, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP and/or Azure), and be proficient in Java and SQL. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven applications and systems to support our growing modernization needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable platform native applications.
  • Utilize cloud platforms (Snowflake, DataBricks, AWS, GCP) to build and manage scalable and performant applications.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Engineers and Architects to develop and deploy applications to cloud platforms.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Snowflake - Native App Framework a plus.
  • Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Programming Languages: Strong skills in Java and SQL.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be located in Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Zone.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms such as DataBricks.
