Position Summary

We are looking for a a junior engineer with knowledge in building software applications. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in Java or any programming language, SQL/NoSQL Databases, Cloud architectures. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions that enable real-time and batch processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, Develop and maintain high-performance microservices using Java Spring Boot.

• Partner with application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements

• Develop REST APIs using Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework, Apache Camel, other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary)

• Collaborate with Offshore teams to manage deliverables, conduct code reviews, and maintain best practices

• Ensure code quality through automated testing (unit, integration), logging, monitoring and alerting

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize microservices interactions and database access

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design sessions

Required Qualifications

• 0-1 year work experience as an engineer

• 4 years of relevant background/course work in Computer Science/Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Software Engineering standards and concepts especially with Object-Oriented languages like Java

• Understanding of database technologies and languages SQL/NoSQL

• Excellent communication and Stakeholder management skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (Computer Science), Master’s degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$32.69 - $65.36

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
