About the role

Job Description:

The position will work closely with cross-functional partners with other R&D functions, Plants, Supply, Finance, Commercial and the Central Formulation Team to enable the successful delivery of business initiatives with a specific emphasis on foundational data in the formulation system and data integrity when changing and deploying new formulation and adjacent systems (SAP, Calisto, Veritas, MES, etc.) and system updates.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biological/Agricultural Engineering, Food Science Technology, Animal Science/Nutrition (or equivalent)

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field

  • Good understanding of scientific principles (chemical, microbiological, physical) associated with food systems, food preparation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ingredient and ingredient/process interactions; HACCP working knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience with basic analytical and system skills like SAP, Veritas

  • Proficient math and computer skills are required (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Proficient in and consistently uses good documentation practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in Biological/Agricultural Engineering, Food Science Technology, Animal Science/Nutrition (or equivalent)

  • 3+ years of work experience in R&D in the food manufacturing or related industry

  • Experience in SAP, BOM recipe documentation and understanding of recipe design software

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Support Innovation, Renovation and Continuous improvement projects by providing formulation system and data support for clear visibility to finished product and raw material composition, nutrients and specifications that enable the delivery of product performance targets and attributes.

  • Support the development, export and maintenance of recipes and raw materials in the factory consistent with business processes and company standards.

  • Support quarterly recipe optimization cycles by maintaining updated Raw Material nutrients and costs. 

  • Ownership of recipe software’s nutrient matrix including decisions on the analytical values of incoming raw materials which impact formula cost and affect finished product proximate values.

  • UAT testing and validation of formulation system and process changes and enhancements.

  • Concessions and PRIMP management in Nexus
