Associate Project Manager

The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Associate Project Manager to optimize our Avantor Laboratory Solutions organization. This DE or NJ role is full-time, remote.

Minimum Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience (2+ years):

• Project management, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Business level verbal and written communication, negotiation, and intrapersonal skills
• Working with cross-functional teams
• Building relationships with customers
• MS Office Suite/Collaboration Tools
• Problem-solving skills l
• Setting priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Presentation and selling skills

Preferred Experience:

• Project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project and JIRA)
• SAP

Travel:

• Up to 30%, domestic

How you will thrive and create an impact:

The Associate Project Manager will:

• Lead small projects with minimal supervision.
• Participate in negotiations with internal or external clients.
• Assist with the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships to include conducting planning sessions with vendors and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.
• Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation.
• Ensure timelines are met and project goals attained.
• Provide project management for the Avantor Task Manager System and basic Inventory Manager engagements.
• Assist the lead Project Manager on CM, EM and more complex IM implementations. 
• Provide level 2 technical support for all systems managed by Digital Tech Support.  
• Produce and maintain training materials and support for all systems as assigned.
