Job Purpose

The Product Analyst – LV Light Axle is responsible for supporting and managing the Light Axle product category within the Aftermarket business. This role drives product line performance, competitiveness, and growth through data-driven decision-making across pricing, sourcing, product launches, and portfolio management. The position supports supply continuity during Manufacturing Footprint Optimization (MFO) and sourcing transitions, ensures successful OE-aligned aftermarket launches, and executes pricing and margin strategies while serving as a subject matter expert for the Light Axle product category. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • •    Analyze and manage product line performance, including sales, margin, and customer and channel profitability. 
    •    Support pricing activities, including competitive benchmarking, price positioning, and margin optimization. 
    •    Identify risks and opportunities to improve overall category performance. 
    •    Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing dynamics, and growth opportunities. 
    •    Monitor competitor product offerings, coverage, and positioning to inform product and pricing strategy. 
    •    Support annual operating plan (AOP) development through sales analysis, forecasting inputs, and performance tracking. 
    •    Support Manufacturing Footprint Optimization (MFO) initiatives and sourcing transitions to ensure uninterrupted customer supply. 
    •    Coordinate cross-functional activities to align inventory, timing, and system data during transitions. 
    •    Monitor and escalate risks related to potential supply disruptions. 
    •    Support execution of product and sourcing changes to minimize impact to customers and revenue. 
    •    Support setup and sourcing of aftermarket and OES parts aligned to new OE program launches. 
    •    Ensure accurate and timely part setup across ERP, PIM, and pricing systems. 
    •    Collaborate cross-functionally to enable speed to market and launch readiness. 
    •    Support and drive timely execution of product launches and speed-to-market initiatives. 
    •    Create and maintain master data required to enable content, pricing, eCommerce, and ERP systems. 
    •    Maintain and manage product category data, including new part number setup, lifecycle management and supersessions, and product rationalization activities. 
    •    Perform VIO-based coverage gap analysis and support expansion of the Light Axle portfolio. 
    •    Maintain competitive cross-references and market intelligence. 
    •    Ensure accuracy and completeness of product data across all business systems. 
    •    Serve as a subject matter expert for the Light Axle product category, supporting internal stakeholders with data, insights, and decision-making. 
    •    Partner with Product, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations teams. 
    •    Support execution of product launches, sourcing initiatives, and business priorities. 
    •    Provide analytical support for business cases, forecasts, and leadership reviews. 
    •    Partner with Sales teams to incorporate customer and field insights into product, pricing, and launch decisions. 

Education and Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required. 
•    1+ years of experience in product management, analytics, or aftermarket business preferred. 
•    Experience within automotive aftermarket, driveline, or light vehicle systems strongly preferred. 
•    Experience with ERP, PIM, and pricing systems, such as SAP, preferred. 

Skills

•    Strong analytical and financial acumen. 
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Power BI or similar tools preferred. 
•    Excellent data management skills and attention to detail. 
•    Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. 
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
•    Effective cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills. 
•    Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results.
