Job Summary:
Work with Senior Marketing Director and Marketing Director to develop and implement comprehensive marketing/PR plans and campaigns for assigned David C Cook books and digital resources. The Associate Marketing Manager will be the lead marketer for new releases, assigned brands, and backlist titles.
This position will serve as the primary contact for authors, agents, and PR agencies - including every aspect of the consumer experience, from ideation to go-to-market execution. This role is an excellent collaborator and works with multiple in-house departments to achieve high-producing consumer marketing assets.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Marketing Director and Marketing Director to develop comprehensive integrated marketing/PR plans, promotions, and campaigns for B-level and C-level front list titles along with assigned backlist titles that surpass assign revenue goals.
Surpass yearly revenue goals for assigned frontlist and backlist titles.
Through collaboration with the team develop strategies based on market analysis, competitor data, market trends, customer feedback, and marketing intuitiveness.
Marketing plans are based on data and insights. Campaigns will be measured by key performance indicators like reach, engagement, sales, and other.
Manage and successfully execute marketing and PR plans by working with outside vendors, ministry partners and internal stakeholders to meet critical deadlines. Distribute marketing plans to appropriate staff (sales, customer care, product teams), and explain plans in a professional, clear and concise manner as needed.
Plans are executed as expected, on time, and within budget. Activities are clearly articulated with the broader team. Campaigns are optimized when additional information, new ideas, or opportunities are presented.
Ability to present marketing/PR strategies and plans to authors and book agents. Will manage author relations for assigned titles providing information and servicing all questions related to marketing and PR.
Marketing and PR goals, deadlines, strategies, and tactics are clearly presented to authors & agents in a timely manner.
Collaborate to develop marketing copy, ad campaign themes, slogans, and creative direction for book titles and seasonal promotions.
Copy and creative will be A/B tested and then optimized per data analysis
Qualifications
Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years’ experience in marketing with prior marketing experience strongly preferred. The candidate must be adept at organizing/managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting timelines. They should possess a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into effective tactics. Experience Christian advertising, digital advertising, SEO, and social media marketing is highly desired. Excellent communications and people skills are a necessity. Experience with graphic design, HTML and video/audio editing are a bonus.
