Are you passionate about logistics and operations? Do you have experience in inventory management, coordination, and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our Material Operations Command Center team.

The responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • The AssociateLogistics Coordinator will be a member of the Material Operations (MatOps) Command Center, Receiving/Delivery team and Storage & Disposition. 

  • Coordinate receiving and delivery of packages and research materials (e.g. gSupply, MPLS, Sample and gPackage), and coordinate scheduling of Sustainability initiatives in Zero Waste Zone and Lab CleanOut programs.

  • Drive daily operation in the Centralized Service Command Center to provide excellent customer service and give direction to the CS field operation team on prioritizing delivery orders and optimizing delivery routes. 

  • Work with multiple software systems (Bluecrest, SCLogic, SAP, LSDS Inventory Manager, and gSuites ) to capture all customer requests with a schedule and enable timely deliveries to end users.

  • Receive the packages by operating the automated conveyor line, coordinate staging of  materials from various external and internal service providers, and delegate receiving/ delivery, and overseeing the logistics schedule.

  • Support the day-to-day operations, ability to challenge the status quo, and think critically to constantly improve the business operations to achieve better efficiencies, faster deliveries, and a more satisfactory customer experience.  

  • Ensure execution of day-to-day activities is within established policies and procedures, ensuring the company’s goals, objectives, commitment to compliance and to all prescribed safety rules and regulations. 

  • Observe and maintain work areas in neat, orderly, and efficient condition.

  • Troubleshoot problem packages and research materials by manual resolution as necessary and perform cause/remediation discrepancy assessments.

  • Involve and escalate with leadership when events and decisions that may impact safety or quality of the operations. 

  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation by assisting the leads and supervisors in recognizing potential conflicts and offering to help a team member.

  • Demonstrate professional conduct when communicating with peers, customers, leads, and supervisors and ensure that the work of the teams is completed by end of the day. 

  • Provide routine updates to the leads and supervisors on progress, status, and issues associated with assigned and delegated tasks. 

  • Keep an up-to-date documentation to ensure that it is consistent and current at all times, author or revise Internal Procedures as required. 

  • Gather and report metrics and KPIs to assess the performance of the operations and process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree or AA equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience in inventory, logistics, planning, coordination roles.

  • Must be dependable and proficient in coordinating and scheduling multiple tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, and organizational qualities with excellent customer service skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to lead and influence the team if necessary, in a performance based, customer focused operational organization.

  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills are essential to facilitate the work of cross-functional and interdepartmental teams.

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, solid judgment, and detail-oriented.

  • Demonstrate strong computer skills; proficiency in gSuites applications and adaptability to using systems such as Bluecrest, SCLogic, SAP, LSDS Inventory Manager.

  • Passion for continuous process improvement with some experience applying LEAN or other Operational Excellence methodology a plus.

  • Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.

  • Must be a self-starter with strong focus on quality, attention to detail and delivering results.

  • Must be able to work weekends, off-hours and overtime as required.

  • Must be able to provide support and training for new team members.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for periods of time as required.

  • Must have a clean driving record.
