Associate, Insurance Portal Access Controller

The Associate Insurance Portal Access Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing access to our insurance portal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security protocols, managing user roles and permissions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role is crucial in safeguarding sensitive customer data and ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to specific functionalities within the portal.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement access control policies and procedures for the insurance portal.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access levels.
• Oversee the authentication processes, including single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Monitor and review access logs to detect unauthorized access attempts and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement security measures that protect sensitive data.
• Provide support to users regarding access issues and security protocols.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on best practices for data security and access management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data protection and privacy (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Prepare reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless access to the portal.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of the insurance portal to improve user experience while maintaining security.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Associate's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Identity access management certifications a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in access control management, preferably in the insurance or healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, including SSO and MFA.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and users.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM) tools.
• Familiarity with Identity access management concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with health care, relevant legislation, and standards for the protection of health information and patient security.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
