Associate Infrastructure (Wireless) Technician

CSA is seeking an Associate Wireless Technician who will act as the Subject Matter Expert for wireless network engineering in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard's Network/Telecommunications Branch. The successful candidate will be technical, customer service oriented and enthusiastic with respect to the nature of work.

Responsibilities

• Installs and configures multi-site switching and routing environments
• Installs and configures multi-site wireless environments for data
• Responds to questions and comments from internal and external customers, provide technical assistance and support
• Troubleshoots malfunctions of network hardware and software applications systems to resolve issues and restore service
• Consults with assigned customers, vendors, sales members, engineers or other individuals to discuss and resolve issues for assigned customer’s projects
• Installs, configures, diagnoses, repairs, and upgrades all corporate hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or another IT-related field; four (4) years of related experience can be substituted for a degree
• One (1) or more years of wireless networking, data networking, and general telecommunications industry experience
• Experience with setup and configuration of multi-site wireless environments for data using Cisco, Aruba, or similar controllers
• Experience with mobile device management (smart phones, tablet PCs, etc.)
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+
• Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA certification
