The Senior Commercial Contracts Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor supporting all company verticals, other than media, including financial services, government, and all other retail measurement licensing data. This position will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on licensing and complex agreements. The Counsel will deliver strategic and timely legal guidance to facilitate business objectives while ensuring the company’s interests and compliance requirements are robustly protected.

Job Description
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements—including licensing, partnership, vendor, and client contracts—across all business segments, ensuring terms support business goals and mitigate risk.
- Lead negotiations on complex licensing arrangements and other commercial transactions, balancing business needs with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify and address legal, privacy, security, and compliance considerations throughout the contract lifecycle; collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to business stakeholders on commercial contracting matters.
- Partner with sales, procurement, product, privacy, and security teams to identify and address legal and compliance considerations in commercial transactions.
Qualifications
- J.D. (or equivalent) and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating B2B commercial contracts in preferably in market research.
- Strong knowledge of IP, content usage, and data licensing principles.
- Demonstrated understanding of data flows
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present risk trade‑offs clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in market research.
- Familiarity with key commercial contract terms, compliance principles
Additional Information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $150,000 - $175,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
