  Job Summary:
  How would you describe what this role does for the organization? What are you hiring this person to do? What is exciting about this role? What does someone want it? What type of competencies are needed to be successful in this role? In this role, you will:
  • Participate in the annual development of the plant's three-year budget process through scope development, solicitation for quotes and generation of the related project description and budget cost.
  • Develop a core cross-functional project team, generate detailed project specifications & Scope of Work to solicit all project cost estimates, generate detailed project progress schedule, prepare and submit for approval funding request (PAR/RFA).
  • Safely manage all aspects of an assigned project.  The incumbent shall generate and submit recommended vendors and related work scope & cost to Procurement through the purchase requisition computer system, generate all contractor safety documentation & conduct all safety meetings as required, coordinate & oversee all engineering/design, fabrication of equipment, generate appropriate purchase requisitions for purchased items, generate appropriate work orders requesting assistance from maintenance, oversee all aspects of outside vendors performing on-site services.
  • Update the project's progress schedule on a weekly basis to assure a timely completion of assigned project, as well as update, on a regular basis, the project's itemized costs to assure that the assigned project will be completed within the approved funding amount.
  • Oversee that the finalized documentation is accurately generated by the outside vendors (engineering/fabrication/installation) and/or in-house resources, and then appropriately distribute to the applicable production, technical and maintenance departments. Finalize all invoices and accounting issues, as well as generate and submit the project's closing notice and project files to the Engineering Administrative Support Specialist for processing.
  • Provide engineering-related assistance, which primarily involves his/her specialized technical area of electrical/ equipment and related systems, to production, technical, maintenance, administrative, other engineering and management personnel, as needed.    

 

  You have: (required) 
  • Associate's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 1 year of related Electrical Engineering Experience
  • 1 year managing projects

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 1 year experience in a metals manufacturer
