Associate Director, Talent Planning & Development Job Summary:The Associate Director Talent Planning & Development will own and develop best practices & management training across the employee journey - hiring, retention, promotion, and succession planning. This includes Diversity & Inclusion goal setting and KPIs for ASICS Digital (ADI). They will also work in close partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure cohesive and equitable hiring practices. 
 

Responsibilities:

  •  Lead the design, development and implementation of the talent review process required to achieve business goals and creation of an internal bench of top talent.
  • Manage and audit current talent planning practices and identify optimizations aligned with industry best practices, including the following:
  • a)  Codify performance expectations across the organization by job level.
  • b)  Oversee performance evaluation system to better align to ADI’s core values and expectations.
  • c)   Ensure staff have access to opportunities for meaningful professional growth and development.
  • d)   Recommend improvements to the overall talent cycle to improve employee and external applicant’s experience.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
  • Participate in organizational strategic workforce planning.

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Advance ADI’s work to develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive D&I strategy with clear metrics that connect to ASICS global organizations.
  • Facilitate open and inclusive communication and reporting with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct evaluations and measurements of programs and solutions to ensure effectiveness, continuous improvement and desired outcomes are achieved based on outlined metrics.
  • Recruit and manage the ADI Diversity & Inclusion Task Force to effectively carry out its’ duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Diversity & Inclusion related issues, legislation, and best practices.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the company’s population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.

  • Staff Management & Partnerships
  • Identify ways to become more operationally efficient as an organization.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to assess progress toward individual performance and department goals.
  • Maintain a supportive, inclusive, positive work environment and ensure direct reports feel connected to the mission.
  • Conduct presentations and training.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team in their efforts to manage the full life cycle of recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.).
  • Partner with the broader People Operations team to develop and implement programs focusing on, but not limited to, Leadership Development, Employee Development, Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and Soft Skill Training.
  •  Supervises: HR Generalist – Onboarding, Learning & Development.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
  • 8+ years of broad Human Resources experience including talent management.
  • 4+ years of experience in Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover talent development, coaching, succession planning and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of industry benchmarks and best practices around diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and track record of setting and meeting ambitious HR performance metrics.
  • Demonstrable experience/skills in training, design and delivery, facilitation, and consultation.
  • Effective leadership, team building, and change management skills.
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Outlook Applications such as mail, Teams, etc.

  • Diversity and Inclusion certification is preferred.

Location:

  • The Greater Boston Area, MA is the preferred location for this position (Hybrid).
