Purpose of the Position: 

The Associate Director, Student Management oversees the admissions process to help students begin their online education. This role provides direction to Associate Student Managers, mentors Student Managers, and manages the new hire stitch process. Additionally, the Associate Director assists the Director in forecasting show-rates by collecting and analyzing student information and start details. 

What You’ll Do:  

  1. Facilitate Start Call Process: Manage the start call process within a two/three-week cycle, modifying process as necessary to ensure efficient and effective communication with prospective students.
  2. Data Issue Resolution: Collect and address data issues related to student files, acting as a liaison to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  3. Forecast Analysis Support: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by providing forecasts for Admission starts to Director of Student Management.
  4. Interdepartmental Communication: Communicate effectively and independently with New Student Advising, Student Finance, Education, Registrar, LMS, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  5. Stitch In Process Management: Collaborate with the Nest team to ensure the Stitch In process is effectively trained and consistently managed; Surface and address training issues as they arise.
  6. Lead Stitch in Meetings: Lead weekly Stitch In meetings to focus on Admission Stitch, discuss trends, and create positive student outcomes.
  7. Manual Data Entry Oversight: Oversee manual data entry related to the Admission Stitch process and manage the organization of all booked futures and cancelled student records.
  8. Student Retention Focus: Serve as the primary resource for student concerns, with a focus on student retention.
  9. Acting Admissions Director: Assume the role of Admissions Director, Student Management in their absence, making significant decisions to ensure continuity of operations. 
  10. Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in student management
  • Skills – verbal, written and interpersonal communication, goal setting, leadership, critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Able to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams with a high level of proficiency in Excel and data management.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
