Job Description
The Associate Director of HR Special Projects is responsible for high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that advance the HR organization’s processes and operational design. This role partners closely with G&A function teams to design, implement, and optimize strategic HR enhancements and organizational initiatives. The Associate Director will drive project execution from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational excellence, and measurable outcomes.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong HCM/HRIS technical knowledge, project management capabilities, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Initiatives
Champion HR transformation efforts aligned with HCM system capabilities and solutions, organizational strategy and workforce priorities.
Partner with other key functions and teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and organizational effectiveness.
Oversee implementation of key HR projects such as analytics and metrics, process effectiveness initiatives, and supporting other HR function projects.
Change Management
Partner with Communications and business leaders to drive adoption and sustainability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a continuous improvement liaison to HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, L&D, Benefits, Business Partners).
Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and Payroll on enterprise initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting
Utilize workforce data and analytics to inform decision-making.
Build executive-level presentations and reports.
Overall Key Performance Indicators
Successful execution of strategic HR initiatives
Measurable improvements in HR operational efficiency and employee experience.
Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption rates.
Achievement of defined workforce strategy milestones.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience with Workday functionality to properly advise on system solutions and capabilities.
Experience in large-scale change initiatives or transformation projects.

High proficiency in HR systems and data analytics tools.
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
Reports to Sr Director, Enterprise HR Operations
Collaborates closely with the HRIS lead, IT, and other HR functional leads for varying initiatives
Working Conditions:
Hybrid role
Occasional travel may be required
