Job Summary
 

The Associate Director of Admissions Operations is an integral part of Chicago Booth’s Admissions team. They will serve as the data and business systems expert for the Admissions Office for all MBA and Master Programs. The primary focus of this position will be Admission’s system customizations, maintenance, and business operations. The Associate Director will manage all system requests; enhancements, maintenance and system issues. They will help manage data, reporting, workflows, and systems for recruitment and admissions, and will be a lead staff responsible for the CRM (Slate). The employee will work closely with the Operations, Marketing, and Evaluation teams to enhance and streamline the execution of operations, marketing data reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates CRM (Slate) in order to evaluate, assess and select top candidates, including application building, testing, evaluation, decision release, etc.
  • Develops and monitors help desk tracking functionality in Slate and address all requests in a timely manner.
  • Works in consultation with Admissions teams to oversee management of data collection in Slate, including volunteer, prospective student, and applicant database.
  • Creates and develops functionality within Slate CRM Database using SQL, XML/XSLT and Javascript. Proactively recommends and implements new Slate technologies, features, or plug-ins.
  • Develops and maintains all customized portals for candidates and internal audiences.
  • Plays an integral role in developing dashboards, status reports and population profiles, as well as ad hoc and year-over-year report analysis. Synthesizes data across multiple platforms.
  • Creates data reports at the request of the leadership team and Dean’s Office as needed.
  • Serves as an internal consultant for developing queries, reports, and best practices in Slate.
  • Manages Slate-related projects with external business units, including, but not limited to, centers, scholarships, vendors, and other UChicago programs.
  • Oversees the transition, design, and ongoing maintenance of prospect and admit-facing information platforms and surveys into Slate.
  • Develops close working relationships with other Slate experts throughout the School to collaborate and lead data initiatives for Chicago Booth.
  • Develops and maintains system processes as needed. Anticipates issues/challenges and helps establish best-in- class workflows.
  • Serves as the Admissions lead to Data Warehouse, Chicago Booth Tableau, Slate users group.
  • Uses best practices and database knowledge to determine the impact of making database changes on other systems and the staff cost for making such changes. Solves complex database problems and modifies database programs to increase processing performance.
  • Develops reports and files to display requested information, including on-screen links to other screens. Provides guidance on various report writer access, database views, and storage procedures related to all databases. Acts as a resource for the user community by responding to special data needs and question
