Department: Brand Strategy, Communications and Public Affairs

FLSA Status: Exempt

Level:                  Professional

Location: DC Headquarters

Position Overview:

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) seeks a dynamic, creative and digitally native Associate, Digital Content Producer & CEO Storytelling to help elevate the voice and visibility of the NAM President and CEO across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.

This new role will serve as the digital producer and storyteller-in-chief for the CEO—concepting, creating and distributing compelling, high-impact content that blends trending culture with NAM’s advocacy priorities and brand values. From capturing Jay mic’d-up on the factory floor to producing fun, fast-turn content with CEOs, shop floor teams or lawmakers, you’ll bring to life the energy, innovation and pride of modern manufacturing in ways that grow reach, drive relevance and spark national conversation.

We’re looking for someone who thinks like a producer, shoots and edits like a content creator, and has the political, cultural and platform instincts to know what resonates—and what’s next.

Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways:

• Be the CEO’s Content Producer: Plan, shoot and edit video and visual content with and around the CEO—both in DC and on the road at manufacturing facilities and events.
• Create Engaging Digital Storytelling: Develop short-form videos, reels, memes, trend-driven content and behind-the-scenes storytelling that capture the fun, purpose and power of manufacturing.
• Drive Platform Growth: Help shape the CEO’s digital presence and strategy across platforms with the goal of expanding reach, engagement and influence.
• Pitch and Execute Big Ideas: Propose and produce social series, challenge videos, soundbite clips, trend integrations and authentic storytelling moments that break through online and support NAM’s policy voice.
• Write with Personality: Draft captions, scripts, prompts and creative social copy with a sharp voice, whether it’s funny, thoughtful or persuasive.
• Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with team members across the organization to ensure content is on-brand and integrated with larger brand strategy, communications, advocacy and marketing efforts.
• Stay on the Pulse: Monitor pop culture, policy developments and digital trends to seize real-time content opportunities and maintain platform momentum.

The above list of responsibilities is representative of the position and is not intended to limit or preclude other responsibilities and tasks that may be associated with or added to the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: In select cases, manage outside vendors and agencies supporting executive communications and brand strategy at the NAM.

We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:

• Education in communications, digital media, journalism, marketing, public affairs, film or a related field, or related hands-on experience.
• 2–5 years of experience producing creative video and digital content, ideally for a high-profile individual, executive, public official, candidate or brand.
• Demonstrated ability to film, edit and produce engaging short-form content independently, using tools like iPhone, gimbal, Canva, Adobe Premiere or Final Cut.
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and emerging trends in visual storytelling.
• Excellent creative writing and ideation skills, with the ability to translate complex policy or brand messages into accessible and engaging content.
• Strong instincts for tone, timing, and platform relevance—with an understanding of both political environments and cultural moments.
• Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and navigating fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours to support timely content capture.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
