About the role

The EP Associate, under direct supervision, performs specific assignments of basic and moderate complexity in support of the Customer Energy Services implementation of energy efficiency and demand response programs. Ensures internal and external customers receive a Plus 1 Customer Experience. Core Responsibilities
  • Participates in the implementation of Clean Energy initiatives through the assessment of NYPSC/NJBPU policy issues to determine their impact on the Company.
  • Provides support to marketing the Clean Energy initiatives and enhancing the customers ability to engage with the Company.
  • Coordinates media campaigns with CES Program Managers and Corporate Communications to ensure that brand guidelines are met.
  • Participates in various cross-functional teams to support Clean Energy, Demand Response, Non-Pipes and Non-Wires Alternatives to align customer messaging for all initiatives.
  • Assists in meeting the business needs for integration of software needs, including the Marketplace and any other software tools to facilitate customer and trade ally engagement with one seamless integrated software platform.
  • Supports the development of business plans and communication channels to ensure that customers and trade allies can engage with the Companys portfolio of programs seamlessly.
  • Assists in the preparation of regulatory submissions, reports and interrogatory responses in Clean Energy proceedings and rate cases.
  • Supports all residential and C&I customer engagement to increase awareness of all programs (i.e. EE, Demand Response, electrification and weatherization, etc.) in NY and NJ to facilitate participation.
  • Supports all outreach and marketing activities across various communication channels in NY and NJ programs to maximize marketing investments and ensure consistent messaging across the portfolio of clean energy programs.
  • Performs other related tasks and assignments as required
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time or internship experience (or at least six months of cooperative or summer internship at Con Ed or O&R)
Relevant Work Experience
  • One-year relevant experience including co-op or internship, required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point, required.
  • Adept at using the Internet for communication and research, required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, required.
  • A commitment to customer service, required.
  • Must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Companys Corporate Values and Mission, required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various levels of management, union personnel, internal and external customers as well as vendors and outside agencies, required.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments, required.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to accept challenges and use creative thinking to analyze data and recommend solutions, required.
  • Must exercise good judgment and render sound decisions, required.

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
