Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Analytical Technician in Seadrift, TX.

The Analytical Technician provides the analytical data to produce and release products and enable process and product optimization. This role supports a plant MPQ (Manage Product Quality) lab.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine analyses on analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatography (GC), titrations, and spectrometry.
  • Document, communicate, and archive results using appropriate IT software and electronic tools (such as Chromatography Data Systems (OpenLab).
  • Understand and execute procedures, policies, and work processes such as Environmental Health & Safety, Operating Discipline Management Systems (ODMS), quality procedures, and AWP (Analytical Work Process).
  • Perform basic calibration and maintenance of analytical systems.
  • Monitor analytical systems.

Qualification:

High School diploma or equivalent AND one of the following is required.

  • Associates degree or higher in Process Technology or Science discipline.
  • In lieu of degree, High School diploma or GED equivalent AND 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
  • 6 months or more of experience as a Process Operator or in an Industrial Lab role or equivalent experience.

  • Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (including weekends & holidays)
  • Able to work overtime as needed (including nights, weekends & holidays)

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic tools (such as Chromatographic Data System (OpenLab).
  • Bachelor's degree in science related discipline.
  • Experience with Analytical Disciplines such as Chromatography, Spectroscopy, titrations, and physical property testing.
