SUMMARY
The Assistant Team Leader will facilitate answers to questions, use our ERP system, handle material, and complete tasks designated by the shift supervisor. They will need to engage their team and make their cell as productive as possible through timely active management. The Assistant Team Leader will also fulfill the duties and responsibilities of CNC Operator.
For posting: All Assistant Team Leaders will need to complete a performance-based 30/60/90 plan before an offer is made. This performance-based plan will consist of reoccurring monthly discussions to ensure this role is the right fit for you and the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a safe work environment by overseeing coworkers to make certain MIOSHA safety rules and regulations are followed.
- Act as first line of defense to prevent shut-downs and loss of production.
- Execute scheduled production plan and meet strict deadlines as set forth in the production schedule.
- Transport material and goods from receiving, storage, or production areas to various processing, shipping and storage locations.
- Must have effective communication skills in order to: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other coworkers of the organization.
- Manage team effectively to make certain production objectives are met.
- Train coworkers on the job, as needed, to improve knowledge and skills for various procedures to include, but not limited to: blueprint reading, job order interpretation, and general product inspections.
- Ensure all ISO quality forms for each procedure regarding production are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Organize storage and processing areas to make the most efficient use of space and utilize handling requirements that meet 5S standards.
