Assistant Research Professor –Implementation Science
University of Notre DameAbout the role
Description
The Veldman Family Psychology Clinic and the Shaw Center for Children and Families at the University of Notre Dame seeks an Assistant Research Professor (non-tenure track) with expertise in implementation science. We are interested in individuals whose work is designed to advance the uptake of evidence-based interventions in community and clinical care settings, with a particular focus on children and families. We are especially interested in candidates whose work aligns well with areas of strategic growth: dissemination of scalable interventions to improve access to care; implementation efforts to serve vulnerable populations; global dissemination and implementation science work; and sustainability of evidence-based care. We also value candidates with research expertise that aligns with our affiliated tenure track faculty in the Department of Psychology, as well as methodological and design expertise. We seek candidates with a strong collaborative orientation towards team science, an active publication record, and a history of extramural funding.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field and have substantial experience in dissemination and/or implementation science research. Candidates should also have a strong publication record and a history of extramural funding. This faculty position will be expected to collaborate/support external grant submissions and research projects led by existing faculty within the Veldman Family Psychology Clinic and Shaw Center for Children and Families. The candidate will also be encouraged to develop/continue their own externally funded independent research program and support the training of staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
This position will have guaranteed full funding as a Research Assistant Professor for up to 4 years. In Year 5 and thereafter, the position will be funded at 80% and the candidate will be responsible for supporting 20% through grants and contracts, either as collaborators or PIs of externally funded projects.
Application Instructions
The position can begin as soon as January 1, 2026 (start date negotiable). To guarantee full consideration, applications must be received by 10/08/2025, but review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
