Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager professional with a passion for excellence. Ideal candidate will have a passion for large construction projects and be driven to deliver excellent service for our clients. 

As an assistant project manager who provides support to our projects control team, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the change and risk management processes to support the capital projects for our client as well as supporting on scheduling, planning and cost control activities. You will be working to develop procedures, by managing and supporting the execution of ongoing capital work. You will be working closely with the project controls and project management teams and should be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

•          Support project change and risk management logs and processes including monthly risk and change reviews with project leadership and SMEs.

•          Contribute to the development of project control procedures and solutions for capital project delivery.

•          Contribute to monthly risk management processes through to project completion, including regular reporting to project leadership

•          Support project controls team with invoicing reviews, audits and approvals. Maintaining tracking tools and chasing outstanding actions. 

•          Support the development of the contingency and contingency drawdown.

•          Run change management process with weekly / monthly cadence as appropriate, including regular reporting to project leadership

•          Audit changes to ensure alignment with subcontractor agreements and project procedures, including assessment of contract change orders.

•          Coordinate with the project controls teams to ensure incorporation of changes and risks into the cost forecast and schedule.

•          Support the project controls team with ad-hoc requests from the client for reports, process improvements and standards.

Qualifications

 

•         Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field)

•          2+ years of project management or construction experience

•          Direct experience working on teams within a complex matrix environment

•          Experience within the construction industry is preferable 

•          Local candidates preferred, if not local, must be relocatable

•          Must possess exemplary communication and reporting skills - both oral and written
