Job Summary:
Directly supervises the front desk in addition to monitoring the daily operations of the hotel, as the principal Front of the House Management Representative to guests
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $46,000
- Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026

Job Responsibilities:
- Must consistently provide legendary hospitality experiences to internal and external guests alike.
- Handles guest complaints and problems and strives for all guests to enjoy their stay.
- Provide employees with guidance on how to deal with difficult guests
- Act as the manager on duty when the Front Desk Manager is not present. Empowered to make decisions in regards to guest & employee relations.
- Has overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the Front Desk and guest services. He/she assists other departments when necessary and keeps the Rooms Division Manager informed of hotel activities and challenges.
- Monitors employee performance and appearance ensure they adhere to quality standards
- Works closely with accounting and activities, group conventions and reservations to exceed guest expectations.
- Acts as host to V.I.P. guests per the General Manager or Hotel Operations Director's special instructions.
- Commends outstanding performance or takes disciplinary action when necessary.
- Trains front desk employees in standards of service and the computer system.
- Approves all work schedules of their department and makes sure they are properly staffed.
- Assist front desk manager in creating a schedule and managing time and labor
- Conducts daily briefings with Front Desk Agents to discuss priorities, problems, grievances, methods of operation, procedures, and policies.
- Must have knowledge of and approve all folio payment allowances.
- Makes certain that all daily activities are posted correctly on the various notice boards
- Anticipates guest questions and is knowledgeable about all aspects of GTLC operations, Grand Teton National Park, and the surrounding area.
- Thorough understanding of Visual 1 operating system, and the ability to help assist any agent with the system.
- Thorough understanding of the Brand Standards for Vail Resorts, and ability to train employees on standards.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Always maintains a presence in the lobby at the front desk.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 1 year previous hotel experience
- Guest Service experience
- Supervisory Experience Preferred
