Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The purpose of the Assistant DTC & DTP Group Leader is to ensure optimal efficiency for the packing and shipping function of the warehouse in the absence of the Group Leader.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES:
· Complies with cGMP’s and Standard Operating Procedures and related system
· Helps ensure the distribution center operates at peak efficiency, with our customer satisfaction being the primary goal
· Helps develop, analyze, and utilize business analytics to maximize productivity, ensure efficient space utilization and warehouse organization optimized
· Maximize the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of the flow of materials/inventories, from dock/port, receipt, and put away, through fulfillment, to maximize customer fill rates.
· Helps develop, improve, and enforce warehousing Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and operational systems by ensuring proper product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping, and order fulfillment and delivery
· Assists in overseeing daily operations, while controlling, managing inventory, and logistical expenses.
· Assists in weekly/monthly/quarterly cycle count to ensure 100% accuracy
· Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
· Familiarizes employees supervised with company policies and procedures
· Maintains harmony among employees and resolved complaints. Initiates appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with company policies when necessary
· Monitors work of subordinates for accuracy, conformance to procedures and time expended to perform their duties. Takes remedial action as needed.
· Provides feedback for performance reviews on a regularly scheduled basis and as needed to help subordinates achieve agreed upon objectives.
· Assures that supplies (corrugated, inserts, etc.) and products are available to our colleagues. Requisitions supplies and products as needed.
· Makes certain that housekeeping of works areas is in accordance with company standards.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· HS degree or GED
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse environment
· Excellent skills in organizing, planning, priority setting, and time management
· Ability to collaborate with others to meet shared objectives and goals
· Must have a high level of integrity, energy, and leadership ability to manage others & delegate tasks
· Confident communicator both verbal and written
· Experience working in a GMP environment
· Must be able to wear required PPE
· Basic Math Skills with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
· Basic computer skills (outlook, word)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to perform tasks such as lifting to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor.
