About the Role

This opportunity is suited to a bright, committed and passionate individual who is looking for a varied finance role and shows high levels of initiative and a keen attitude to learn. As a member of the finance team, you’ll need to be confident in managing customer service inquiries, managing the accounts receivable and accounts payable function, as well as providing general support to both the Finance team and non-financial stakeholders of all levels.

As part of this role, you will be expected to work closely with non-financial stakeholders to gather financial information, ensure the inputs you process are correct/coded properly and you’ll be expected to get involved with month end, reporting and other ad hoc projects. You’ll be trained by an experienced, caring & proactive team who’s focused on smart working and leveraging technology to make our working lives easier. This role will provide excellent development opportunities to focus on key areas of the business and will add financial and commercial stripes to any aspiring financial professional.

Requirements

Work as part of the Finance team in our flagship Showroom in Beverly Hills, you'll report into the Finance & Operations Manager and work closely with the wider Eco finance team. Your role centres on:

  • Full function accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, payments and allocations
  • Bank reconciliations, cost allocations and fixed assets management
  • Posting monthly journals including prepayments and accruals
  • Month end close, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgeting, forecasting, cost analyses and reporting
  • General accounting and ad hoc tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and business policies

Other Tasks:

There are several other tasks which will also fall within this role which are part and parcel of working in a small finance team, some of which are regular and some of which are ad hoc in nature. These include process improvement, improvements to current reporting practices and maximising the usefulness of our ERP system NetSuite, all with the overall goal of supporting the growing Eco business.

Skills required

  • An undergraduate degree or a business degree majoring in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent
  • Part qualified or looking to commence CA/CPA qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in a similar finance function carrying out key accounting tasks (desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly numerate, high attention to detail, analytical with the ability to think logically, proactive problem solver
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • MS Office experience with a good working knowledge of Excel as a minimum
  • A team player with the ability to work within a small and dynamic team
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Approachable and can demonstrate a willingness to assist others
  • High levels of initi
