Gaudenzia's Mission: Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

 

This individual is responsible for the oversight of Assessment Operations and staff. This person serves as a point of contact for all matters related to assessments, PA WITS, and escalated utilization management decisions. The individual works closely with multidisciplinary teams, including but not limited to medical, clinical, all management team members, police, probation and parole, and all other stakeholders and the public. Ensures the assessment staff perform the appropriate battery of assessments and screenings to obtain the necessary information for the appropriate LOC recommendation. Develop processes and procedures for assessments that optimize patient outcomes and cost efficiency of services. Work with the management team on decisions for quality, accuracy, and adherence to established criteria. This person is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the operation of the assessment center and the staff under his/her direction. This individual will oversee the quality of services offered through the Assessment Center to ensure that services are consistent with the needs of the individual and that they also represent the overall intent of the Gaudenzia philosophy

 

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a recognized clinical discipline.
  • Must hold clinical licensure in Pennsylvania. (LPC, LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, PsyD)
  • 3-5 year of experience in a leadership role with direct reports

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment

 

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive assessment and admission strategies to meet or exceed assessment center targets.
  • Analyze admission trends, market data, and competitor benchmarks to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Establish annual assessment center goals for forecasting and budgets.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance admissions processes and outcomes.

 

Admissions Operations

  • Oversee the full admissions lifecycle, including inquiry response, interviewing, application review, decisioning, and onboarding.
  • Ensure admissions policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria are consistently applied and compliant with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and optimize admissions workflows, EHR System, CRM systems, and data integrity.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards for executive leadership.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff.
  • Set performance expectations, track productivity, and implement corrective action when needed.
  • Foster a high‑performing, customer‑focused, and collaborative team culture.
  • Ensure staff maintain current knowledge of programs, admissions requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all funding sources

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with key leadership, communications and marketing, external partners, and compliance teams.
  • Align marketing and outreach efforts with goals and messaging.
  • Represent the organization at recruitment events, information sessions, and community or industry forums.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on strategy and capacity planning.
  • Participate in scheduled activities such as treatment team meetings, case consultations, feedback meeting, management meeting, intake meeting and administrative meetings as well as all other activities and functions for client care
