Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician IV, 1st Shift.
The rate for this position is $21.89 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
- Assemble, wire, fit, and modify highly complex assemblies—including non‑standard units such as Special Assemblies, Power Company units, and Pull and Switch Sections—demonstrating advanced technical understanding.
- Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering, as required.
- Mount and install electrical equipment and perform necessary wiring operations.
- Lift, handle, and assemble components involving heavy copper parts.
- Maintain required Kanban inventory levels and report shortages to designated operators.
- Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure and assemblies meet cleanliness and quality standards.
- Respond to change notices, customer‑requested adjustments, and development needs.
- Support engineering, drafting, and supervision teams with customer‑driven development efforts.
- Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervision or Engineering, following established procedures.
- Retrieve unit drawings using ENOVIA.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience

- No relocation assistance is available for this position. Only candidates located within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active‑duty military service members are exempt from the geographic requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in an SG37 assembly role.
- Completion of qualifications through the pay‑for‑skill program.
- 1 year of experience using hand and air tools.
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing information (MI).
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or an equivalent credential.
Position Criteria:
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job‑specific systems such as ENOVIA.
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
- Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

- Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties
