Assembly Technician I

As an Assembly Technician I you will build, install, test and maintain our robotic equipment. Everyday you will make repairs to robots such as replacing defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers and encoders.

Day to Day ActivitiesMechanical assembly using basic hand tools and power toolsFastening parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners using hand, air, and power toolsPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts listsAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesPerforms step-by-step instructions for quality assuranceMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsPositioning parts according to blue prints
Desired SkillsAble to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and checksheetsGeneral knowledge/skill with using email, Slack and/or JiraAble to lift over 30lbs occasionallyAble to be on their feet most of the dayAble to use basic power tools (drill, impact wrench, saws, torque wrenchMaintaining cleanliness, organization of the workplace and warehouse.Participation in technical team meetings and general company meetings.General: Team player, communicates well, proactive, detail, and wants to learn
Physical RequirementsLoud work environment with temperature change due to seasons at office, warehouses and clients’/customers’ locationsWalking/standing long hours and exposed to loud environment/machine and during travel
