About the role

Position Summary

A Manual Assembler I is responsible for performing simple, repetitive, manual assembly tasks.  The assembly tasks for which this individual is responsible are typically comprised of single-step operations.  The assembler is also responsible for ensure that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Keep work area clean
  • Able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements to manually assemble small parts using hand tools, fixtures, and/or equipment
  • Ability to perform tasks with the assistance of microscopes
  • Perform functional product testing as required
  • Complete production records and work order documentation as needed
  • Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems
  • Weigh count, package and label finished product
  • Able to learn simple operations quickly and easily
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility in performing multiple simple manual operations. Simple operation involves a repetitive simple task, typically with a single step

 

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Able to read and understand procedures
  • Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred
