Summary:
As the Art Director, you will work closely with the Creative Director to craft a cohesive brand identity across all touchpoints. The Art Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the creative services team as they execute Cosm’s initiatives while fostering an environment of creative excellence through impactful feedback and intentional leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to problem-solve creatively in a fast-paced environment. The Art Director should be able to communicate clearly with a range of audiences and work across departments to support company goals through marketing. We expect our team to be versatile, collaborative, and creative in their approach to marketing communications.

This is a 6-month temporary position with the potential to become full-time. This role will be employed directly by a third-party Employer of Record.

Responsibilities:
• Collaboration with the Creative Director: Work closely with the Creative Director to conceptualize and execute compelling visual designs. Ensure a cohesive creative approach that aligns with the strategic vision.
• Design Execution: Translate the Creative Director's vision into visually compelling designs in alignment with brand principles and guidelines, resulting in a consistent and cohesive brand identity across all visual touchpoints.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
• Team Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the creative team, providing clear and effective direction to ensure high-quality work.
• Feedback & Iteration: Offer insightful and actionable feedback to the creative team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and creative excellence.
• Production Oversight: Maintain responsibility for each project through final execution, following best digital and print practices, including QA and signing off on all revisions and production phases with the Creative Director, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
• Workflow & Process Development: Identify opportunities to improve the creative process, workflow deliverables, and team utilization, to deliver outstanding visual projects.
• Cross-department Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a firm understanding of project requirements and objectives.
• Persuasive Presentations: Present concepts and designs, articulating creative ideas effectively.
• Industry Insights: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in art and design, incorporating them into our brand strategy.

Experience:
• Start-up DNA: Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test innovative approaches. Able to prioritize deftly. Comfortable with setting their direction and adjusting to the landscape.
• 8+ years of experience in a creative role, 2+ years of people management experience preferred with substantial experience of sports marketing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead, communicate, and adapt within a charged environment to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative work and a deep understanding of brand marketing and design standards.
• Strong presentation skills and communication abilities, both internal and external.
• Proficiency in current design software and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of best practices for both web and pre-press print execution.
• Ability to solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
