Area Coordinator

Where will you work: Onsite – Bradley, FL (11200 State Road 37 South, Bradley, FL 33835)

The Area Coordinator is responsible for leading the operational planning of turnarounds and scheduled downtime to ensure the plant's continuous operations. This role involves managing asset readiness, including overseeing workflow requirements, to meet both short-term and long-term key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple shifts. The individual will drive operational improvements by adhering to established policies and procedures, set aspirational goals for multi-shift planning, and mentor peers to achieve these goals.

The Area Coordinator will plan, coordinate, delegate, execute, and optimize downtime activities using structured methodologies (e.g., SMED). They will also manage controllable spending (e.g., accruals, budget) and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring asset availability and operational readiness.

As the operational lead for scheduled downtime, the Area Coordinator will apply advanced root cause analysis techniques, utilizing multiple data streams and integrating sustainability into solutions. They will serve as a subject matter expert on both processes and equipment, understanding how the department impacts plant-wide operations (both upstream and downstream). Additionally, they will be responsible for explaining process functionality and mentoring peers, operators, and new supervisors.

The Area Coordinator will support the production supervisor and act as a liaison to maintenance management, communicating how daily performance expectations affect overall site performance, including complex, multi-shift and inter-departmental challenges.

What will you do?

• Manage plant asset readiness, including workflow requirements.

• Plan, coordinate, delegate, and execute scheduled down days.

• Manage controllable spend plan to ensure asset operational availability.

• Serve as operational lead and liaison to maintenance for turnaround and planned downtime.

• Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.

• Manage performance issues when necessary.

• Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent.

• Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.

What do you need for this role?

All levels require:

• High School/GED
• 2 – 3 years phosphates industry experience
• 2 – 3 years supervising experience
• 1 – 2 years Microsoft office experience
• 1 – 2 years industrial environment experience
• 1 – 2 years process improvement experience
• 1 – 2 years objective interface experience
• 1 – 2 years Maximo experience

• Bachelor's is preferred
• 5– 8 years related experience

Area Coordinator II

• High School Diploma and 8 – 10 years related experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3 – 5 years of experience
• 3 – 5 years operations experience
