THE JOB:

As an Apprentice Banquet Bartender, you will be responsible for assisting the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

STARTING RATE: $7.10 per hour, plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Assist the bartender with preparation of drinks, mixes and garnishes
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area
• Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas
• Ensure proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non‐alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice
• Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware and ensure equipment is in working order
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
• Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft ​
• Own the guest experience in any situation by using problem solving skills to WOW the guest.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Ability to multi‐task and work well in a fast paced, team‐oriented environment
• Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
• Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts ​
