This Opportunity

WSP E&E Applied Solutions is seeking an experienced and visionary National Program Director to support a growing program across the United States and to manage programs in the disciplines of:

  • Nuclear & Power
  • Environmental Remediation
  • Pipelines
  • Mine Closure
  • Federal

This position can sit out of any mutually agreed WSP USA office. 

As part of the Earth & Environment Applied Solutions Leadership Team, the successful candidate will join a group of highly motivated program/construction professionals with the ability to lead and manage multiple complex programs/projects, win new work and develop opportunities, have excellent stakeholder management skills, and be able to communicate and engage confidently at all levels within the organization.


The Program Manager is pivotal to maintaining client relationships and performing high quality work on schedule. This position is also responsible for coordinating with WSP’s Director of Nuclear Quality Assurance; nuclear laboratory managers; functional leaders, such as project controls, procurement, safety, and environmental; as well as other E&E business leaders and project teams.  
 

Your Impact
  • Develop and implement a programmatic organizational structure encompassing all field activities, reports, quality assurance, and support functions for all current and future nuclear work. 
  • Develop a program management plan inclusive of processes and procedures to promote efficiency and consistent delivery across all aspects of WSP’s work for a variety of end clients. 
  • Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule (IMS) capturing all nuclear projects and regularly resource-level the schedule and work with business leaders across E&E regions to proactively confirm sufficient resources and capacities to support current and future work. 
  • Perform project-specific reviews with project managers and key personnel to confirm each project’s satisfactory progress or support with the identification and implementation of corrective actions to ensure satisfactory delivery across all safety, quality, financial, and schedule metrics.  
  • Work closely with the project managers and contract managers and other key project team personnel to identify, assess, and mitigate project-specific risks.
  • Ensure strict adherence to WSP’s NQA-1 program requirements for nuclear safety related work.
  • Oversee WSP’s proposal development efforts, including pricing development and technical approaches. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability across the program
  • Develop and implement a structured process for capturing, disseminating, and implementing lessons learned across programs. 
     
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or other related fields
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of program management experience
  • Proven experience in the delivery of large multi-geographic programs across the US  
  • Understanding of NCR and NQA-1 program requirements
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or PgMP Certification
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist License

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $162,400-275,000K
 

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
