Contributes in the development and implementation of applications that support and enhance the administrative, management and customer needs. Analyzes business and process requests, develops solution options in conjunction with business partners. Designs, develops, implements, and documents the programs and/or modifications of existing applications. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Maintains and creates technical diagrams and technical standards.
Responsible for 2nd level support and maintenance of the computing environment and local area network Provides local end user IT support; installs, troubleshoots and upgrades PCs; assures electronic privacy and security pursuant to university and medical center requirements; provides support for common productivity software; assists with server, network, and application issues; maintains printers.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree in computer and information science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 1 year of experience in Information Technology, with at least 1 years of experience in application development or support of end users in a customer facing role, with SQL and relational database management systems, with Java or similar object oriented languages.
Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
