Analytics Manager, Clinic Operations
One MedicalAbout the role
About Us
One Medical is a primary care solution challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. But this isn’t your average doctor’s office. We’re on a mission to transform healthcare, which means improving the experience for everyone involved - from patients and providers to employers and health networks. Our seamless in-office and 24/7 virtual care services, on-site labs, and programs for preventive care, chronic care management, common illnesses and mental health concerns have been delighting people for the past fifteen years.
In February 2023 we marked a milestone when One Medical joined Amazon. Together, we look to deliver exceptional health care to more consumers, employers, care team members, and health networks to achieve better health outcomes. As we continue to grow and seek to impact more lives, we’re building a diverse, driven and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.
The Opportunity
As we continue to expand nationally, the One Medical Central Analytics team is seeking an Analytics Manager to oversee clinic operations analytics across senior and commercial health sectors. Reporting to the Group Analytics Manager of Operations, you will lead a team of analysts dedicated to providing actionable insights. These insights will inform decisions on growing our clinic operations, enabling high quality virtual care delivery, and ultimately improving healthcare outcomes for all members. Partnering with clinic operations leaders, you will develop a prioritized roadmap for strategic initiatives and improvements to foundational processes and tools; while also having the ability to respond to time sensitive priorities. You will also partner cross-functionally with Technology, Marketing, Value-Based-Care, Enterprise, Finance and Clinical Quality teams to align analytics initiatives with broader company goals.
To accomplish all of the above, you are someone that is passionate about transforming healthcare delivery through data-driven insights. You also ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations, and can solve problems from data acquired from multiple and diverse sources. Not only that, you are also able to make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve these problems through structured thinking and have shown the ability to drive results in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles. In addition, you build and maintain strong networks while balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders. Lastly, you attract and select diverse, high-caliber talent and place a high priority on developing others.
What you’ll likely work on:
- Partner with folks across the company in coming up with new opportunities for operations to drive growth, delight members, and increase operational efficiency
- Champion the practice of making data-informed decisions by performing strategic investigatory analyses to inform how we prioritize the operations roadmap
- Partner with operation leaders, product managers, engineers, and other analysts to plan process improvement efforts, establish success metrics, and perform active daily management
- Create new processes and solutions to democratize access to data, such that it can easily be leveraged by non-technical audiences
- Manage/support the development of analysts and grow the team to support One Medical’s mission by performing root cause and predictive analysis, building operational metrics, and communicating results to business leaders
You’ll need:
- 6+ years industry experience in a business analytics focused role
- 2+ years leading a team of analysts and prioritizing work based on current business and stakeholder needs
- Experience in healthcare (i.e. operations, pharmacy, clinic, telehealth, primary care)
- Proficient knowledge of SQL, data visualization, and other technical components needed to effectively develop analytic solutions
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps and successfully executing them to drive operational improvements and business outcomes
- Ability to be a self starter in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
- Experience using data to craft compelling narratives with clear takeaways that help drive strategic decision-making
- Expert communication skills both visually and verbally
Not required, but would be nice to have:
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and lean concepts
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and modeling
- Experience in value based care and healthcare payment models, with a focus on improving healthcare quality and cost outcomes
