The Team  

Analytic Quality & Validation (AQV) is a global control function within Ratings that evaluates the quality and consistency of S&P Global Ratings’ credit analysis, criteria, and models. The team is collaborative, data-driven, and focused on building tools and processes that improve transparency and repeatability across our ratings platform.  The role of the AQV Analyst is to support the analytical activities of AQV. The position supports the development of tools and analyses that enhance AQV’s ability to evaluate the quality of S&P’s ratings analysis and assists in the research of the quality of our criteria, models, and their application to assign ratings. In particular, the Analyst will participate in risk-based activities, as assigned, and is expected to be an active contributor to the team’s data sourcing, table design, tool development and maintenance of its analytic platforms and visualizations.  The Analyst will also support different aspects of AQV’s operations, including in the development of tools that simplify or automate our processes. The role is within a multi-cultural, global team that works closely together, and requires excellent multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to independently analyze and solve problems in a timely and insightful manner. It will suit a diligent and analytically curious self-starter with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
