JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Analyst, IT, Sr. in our Duke Sports Sciences Institute clinic located in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGIC AND OPERATONAL
Develop, iterate, and execute the COORDS (1) strategic and operational plan for Orthopaedic Data Access and Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) Management to achieve business, quality, and research goals
- Engage with stakeholders to understand the divisional expectations of the program and bring those expectations to the PMT in a way that strategically, technically, operationally, and financially informs the team in terms of effort and gain.
- Working with the PMT, create the implementation strategy; oversee the execution of the program; communicate clearly for overall clarity with the stakeholders regarding in-parameter plans and those that will result in fee-for-services.
- Develop and implement processes associated with research operations, collection, and analysis. Engage with stakeholders, technical experts, and regulatory guidelines during the development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
- Manage the data environment, including requests for data, prioritization, access to Orthopaedic-specific data and dashboards, quality assurance reviews of the data, request Orthopaedic-supportive updates to DTHS-maintained self-service tools, etc.
- Handle the Orthopaedic PRO environment, including managing PRO assignments/un-assignments, setting up operative series PROs with Procedure Pass, monitoring and maintaining PRO infrastructure as Duke’s Epic implementation changes, managing questionnaire usage contracts, etc.
- Work closely with operational leads to ensure the accuracy of PRO collection, track collection rates, and encourage participation throughout clinic locations, leveraging skill sets needed to support a successful program
- Communicate and educate department-wide faculty/staff, providers, and leadership on PRO rollouts, consolidation of PROs and methods of distribution, quality requirements, and industry changes impacting the PRO environment
- Assist with the development of educational materials for stakeholders, including assisting with marketing for internal consumers and collaboration with identified grant partners.
- Support clinical operations leadership and clinic leadership re: PROs and other data, reporting, and analytic needs as appropriate.
- Engage with ACE and DHTS staff regarding: Epic upgrades, database changes, etc., to understand and prepare for changes as they affect Orthopaedics’ PRO and data environments.
- Engage with Duke’s Epic Bones TS to advocate for Orthopaedics’ needs, especially as relates to PROs and MyChart functionality.
- Develop and maintain relationships across the School of Medicine, DUHS, and DHTS, to advocate for and support Orthopaedics’ data needs.
- Collaborate with PT-OT/Rehab Services’ PRO and data support people (clinical and research) to ensure consistent approaches to Epic build and data management/analysis.
