Analyst Intern

Responsibilities :

• Using Excel and SQL to manipulate data
• Writing and debugging code in Python and R to create data visualizations
• Provide support for presentations and quarter end reporting as needed
• Dashboard development through Power BI
• Utilizing Machine Learning and Data Mining algorithms to create solutions 
• Use HFM to query databases and Alteryx to perform ETL
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science or a related field
• Completed a minimum of 24 hours of general coursework, with a minimum of 6 hours in the applicable discipline
• Over 48 hours of coursework preferred
• Experience and proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, R, Matlab, C++, Java, etc.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to rapidly learn other analytical tools. 
• Proficient PowerBI skills.
• Experience with Orange
• Experience with ERP systems 
• Experience with Alteryx
• Self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to problem solve and identify areas for improvement.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts clearly and professionally
• Self-directed and versatile with a desire for continuous learning
• Comfortable working in a large team environment
