Job Description

• Prepare US sales/use tax returns utilizing Vertex Returns platform.
• Prepare other indirect tax filings, such as, property tax, unclaimed property, US Census, gross receipts, and business license.
• Process monthly tax payments (both ACH and mailing of checks).
• Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure SOX compliance.
• Prepare tax registrations of newly formed legal entities.
• Review customer resale/exemption certificates to ensure validity for order processing.
• Assist with indirect tax audits such as, data gathering, report analysis, and research.
• Resolve notices received from taxing jurisdictions.
• Ability to identify and raise issues to tax management to ensure that the company collects, accrues, and remits the appropriate tax.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments to gather information as required.
• Work on special projects as required.

This full-time position is Hybrid based at Western Digital’s office in Irvine and Remote.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• 1-3 years of relevant indirect tax experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

PREFERRED:

• Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) preferred but not required.
